Capturing game footage on a PC is relatively simple, but doing the same from a console traditionally requires hefty hardware.
This nifty little box is designed to plug in between your console and TV, allowing you to record game footage to either a 2.5in internal HDD (not included) or a USB drive.
It only works with component video output, but will capture up to 720p and 1080i resolution with minimal lag. Thankfully it also ships with a component adaptor that works with Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii.
It really is a joy to use; once set up, all you need to do is hit record on the supplied remote and your gameplay will be stored in AVI format. This is then easily manipulated on a PC, or you can just use the device to play back content.
This device is a simple and elegant solution to what used to be a complex problem.
