Fans of cat videos and YouTube news channels alike might be disappointed to hear that the default iOS YouTube app that's been loaded up onto every iPhone iteration since its original release will be removed from iOS 6.
The Cupertino tech giant confirmed with The Verge that its licence for the YouTube app in iOS has ended, meaning that iOS 6 iPhone users will have to fire up Safari for any YouTube shenanigans until Google's YouTube app is released on the App Store.
Now if you'll excuse us we're off to fire up a few of our favourite videos in homage to one of iOS' staple apps. For science, of course.
