Rumour: Is this the iPhone 5?

Rumour: Is this the iPhone 5?

The rumour mill ginds ever faster, but these new pictures from Kitguru might just be the real deal

iPhone 5

Given that Cupertino can't seem to keep a lid on all these annoying iPhone 5 leaks, there's a growing consensus on what Apple's new handset will look like. Still, it's nice to have something a little more visual, and now we have some glossy new snaps to pore over.

As ever, take these leaked pics with a pinch of salt – but these iPhone 5 pictures are the most plausible thing we've seen so far. The images confirm the rumoured 4-inch screen and bigger form factor – 58.47mm x 123.83mm to be exact. The headphone jack is now placed on the bottom of the device rather than the top, too.

It appears that the guys at Kitguru, who leaked the pictures, have now taken the story down (possibly thanks to a call from Apple) – but they did state that this was a "pre-release test sample" likely to be polished before release.

However, with a launch expected in the coming months, it's unlikely that the final design will look radically different to this. Let's just hope Apple doesn't lose it in a bar before then.
