Tech deals: save hundreds of dollars on AV gear at GraysOnline

Save up to $15,000 on high-end AV gear, including 3D Blu-ray players, high-end Marantz video projectors and Sony home theatre systems.

The online deals site GraysOnline is currently offering a large selection of audio/video gear on its website, including TVs, home theatres, video projectors and Blu-ray players, at reduced prices.

The deals are part of the web site's '$400k Home Entertainment Clearance' promotion, which includes eBay-style auctions and 'Buy Now' instant transactions.

Some enticing Buy Now deals that we spotted include a Samsung BD-C5900 3D Blu-ray player for $169 (around $30 off), a Sony MU.TE.KI HTDDW7600 home theatre system for $599 ($700 off), a DgTec High Definition 60cm LED (DG-HD24LED) for $169 ($250 off) and a Marantz VP12S4 DLP Video Projector for $2,900 ($15,900 off).

There are also plenty of auctioned items that are worth checking out, with most currently hovering around the $20-$100 mark. (Naturally, these prices are sure to go up as each auction draws to a close.)

Most of the listed prices do not include shipping, although some of the deals do come with free delivery.

I'd love to know if the author spotted it or is this really just a paid for article...

Hi ory_zm, there's no reason for this article other than the fact that we spotted it, and thought it was an interesting sale our readers might want to know about.

I'm sorry, but as a frequent peruser of Grays Online IT gear its not even close to the 'bargain' as ascribed to in this article. A number of glaring faults with article include: quoting prices of auctions 'as an example' that are nowhere remotely close to the final sale value, and also failing to mention Grays Online charge around 20% on-top of the final sale value as their 'buyers premium' value, and then add shipping costs on-top of that and they aren't cheap either.

I'm not going to say outright that this is a 'paid for advertorial' masquerading as editorial content, but its not far off - or just badly researched.

I didn't think it was an add, but alot of the stuff for sale was dgtec junk. A quick look on whirlpool and the brilliant deals didn't look so great. Some of the jamo speaker deals didn't look to bad though.

GraysOnline is a fraud.

You end up paying premium prices for a pig in a poke.

I had a friend who used to have a huge collection of damaged, non-working or jus horribly outdated technology because he was addicted to the "auction bargain".

The "Buyers Premium" he ignored was only 10% back then. 20% is absolutely ridiculous!

Deadly combination: bargain hunter, collection mania, wild optimism and innumeracy.

It reminds me of the Garage Sale episode of Married with Children which consists of them trying to flog off all the useless stuff they had bought off everyone else in the street. The end game of pass the parcel.
