Okay – either an ultra-slim MacBook Pro or a super-powerful MacBook Air is going into production now for an April release. We know this because components have begun shipping to build the new super laptop.
The real shocker is this might signify the convergence of the ultra-thin and the super-powerful in a new breed of MacBook that combines the Pro and the Air in one ultimate computer, killing off the previous product lines for good.
The rumour mill is pointing towards an ultra-thin 15in MacBook with the possibility of a highly portable 17in MacBook too. Either way we’re expecting a Sandy Bridge Intel processor, Thunderbolt ports, a back-lit keyboard, and all the gesture controls the touchpad can handle.
