The Eee Pad Slider, Asus' innovative 10.1in tablet/laptop hybrid, has finally launched in Australia via retailers JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Bing Lee.
The 16GB version is going for $649, while the 32GB version has an RRP of $749. (The latter compares favourably to US pricing, where the 32GB version launched for $US799.)
Both versions are available now from the aforementioned stores.
The Nvidia Tegra 2-based tablet comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, effectively eliminating one of the major bugbears of tablet users.
Other highlights include the latest version of Android (3.1 Honeycomb), Polaris Office 3.0, inbuilt Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Adobe Flash support, a year's worth of unlimited cloud storage and dual cameras for video chat and the ability to play high definition video.
