Tech Deals: eStore unloading Netgear wireless routers

With high-end routers costing several hundred dollars, it's good to know you can still pickup a wireless router for less than a hundred.

The arrival of deluxe routers like the Fritz!box and Billion's 7800N are setting the bar high for home networks, but you don't have to spend several hundred dollars on a router.

As an example, eStore is currently offloading stock of certain Netgear routers, including the Netgear DGN1000 N currently advertised for $88, which the site advertises as a saving of $51. It's a four port router without Gigabit, but includes 802.11n wireless and ADSL2+ modem.

The site is also advertising an $80.50 saving on a Netgear WNR3500 RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router, which is being advertised on the stie for $148.50. This is an older router, though it has Gigabit Ethernet.

Keep in mind that it's possible to pickup a dual band wireless Gigabit Router for not much more - the eStore site, for example, is listing the Netgear WNDR3700 Dual Band N Gigabit Router for $185.
