The new LG range include the
Shine Bar (KE770), duly named because LG engineers must have though it looking like a shiny gold bar. Next is the
Shine Slide (KE970), because the shiny bar name was already taken and a slide is the next best rectangular shape on the list.
Then there is the much more important sounding
Black Label Series 3G Shine (KU970), which will offer high speed 7.2Mbps HSDPA, which could come in handy for live TV addicts and traveling Myspace dweebs. And, finally, there is the
Titanium Shine (TU720), which gets its name from a really, really useful rock. And it looks cool too.
There are also a couple of other bells and whistles that might catch your attention. The KE970 features an expandable memory slot which is useful for storing photos and music.
The TU720 features a jog wheel that has nothing to do with exercise and everything to do with offering more intuitive menu operations on the phone.
In three of the models - the KE970, the TU720 and the KU970 - each feature a 2MP camera, Bluetooth and music capabilities.
Prices: KE770 $199
KE970 $249
KU970 $279
TU720 $829
