The Camargue is an ancient breed of horse native to the marshes and wetlands of Southern France, with which they are uniquely associated. To Tim, such details are essential to the compositional process."The location isn't just there to be a pretty landscape," he explains. "I didn't just say 'let's run some white horses against sprayed water'. Rather, the landscape is there to enhance and enrich the layers of meaning behind the subject. The more you know about horses, the more [the photo] reveals to you."
